Bring a spark of joy into your home or loved one's home with a personalized wire sign /custom wire words for the wall. This is such a unique way to showcase your personality and values, and it is sure to leave an impression on guests! This listing is for words made in my Scholar font, but check out my other listings for other fonts available too. These words are made from thick wire, bent by hand into the desired shape. They are designed to be hung directly on the wall. Please note that any backgrounds or props/items shown in the photos are NOT included in orders. This listing is for the bare wire words only, not on any plaque or background.
SIZING
Small: 5-9 cm at tallest point, depending on the letters and font. Capital letters and ones like b,h,l,y,g will be the tallest points. Other letters may be quite a bit smaller.
Large: 9cm - 14cm at tallest point, depending on the letters.
Word length and letter size will vary depending on which font I am making your sign in. Voyage font and Nephelai font have shorter width to words, whereas Fable and Scholar have longer width, so please plan your space accordingly.
HOW TO ORDER
1. Count the total number of letters in the word or phrase that you want, and select that number and size (small or large) from the drop down menu above. Do not include any punctuation (? ! . ,) in your count, as these are free with your order if you wish to include them. For example, if you want "This is us" in the large size, select "Large - 8 letters" from the drop down menu.
2. Select which color you would like.
3. Enter the word or phrase that you want into the personalization box. Please make sure that you have entered the exact capitalization, punctuation and spelling that you want. If you do not want the prongs/floating look to your words, please write "nonfloating" in the personalization box as well.
HOW TO HANG/INSTALL: Unless requested in the personalization box or note to seller box, all words and punctuation are made in a floating style with "prongs". These are 1.5" - 2" ends of the wire I leave straight (please see photos) that are designed to create a floating look to your words once on the wall. You will need a drill bit of about 3mm size.
1. Bend the prongs to point backwards
2. Line up the words on the wall to find where you want them to be
3. Use a pencil to make small marks on the wall where the ends of the prongs meet
4. Drill the holes on the marks
5. Push the ends of the words into the holes on the wall!
If you chose to order non-floating, you can hang your items using either nails or command hooks (nails and command hooks are not included). Please note that if you request nonfloating, the letters of some fonts may need to be changed in order to make the piece "hangable". There is a detailed guide to installation on my Instagram highlights for a more visual guide, and instructions are sent with each order.
Please note that the wire that I use is sturdy but still delicate compared to typical wood based and laser cut signs. Please be careful when removing from its packaging and during installation.
